Harrow is looking to build 5,500 homes over the next decade, to accelerate our private rented sector (PRS) housing scheme. Heart of Harrow was one of the first areas to named as a housing zone by the mayor and GLA, which will allow special designation for housebuilding, providing funding and accelerating the planning process to speed up delivery.
Funding of £31.3 million has been awarded which will be used to build 1,679 homes, just under 40% of which will be affordable. Our land holdings will also make a substantial contribution to the delivery of private rented stock.
